B20z swap - Headers and exhaust?
Looking at putting a B20z in my del sol. What headers should I get? Do I look for ones that match the B20 engine, and if so, are there any that will clear the hood? Also, the exhaust, do I match that to the engine or the car? I would assume the car, but...

I think you can use any B series header. I'm not sure how many headers you are going to buy...or what you're going to do with all the extras. Your engine only needs 1. I'm not sure if you need a header specific to the B20, though. Maybe a GSR header would work since these are "taller". they dont come anywhere near the hood, however...so that's never going to be an issue....
You match the exhaust with the car. I like the APEX'i World sport. A lot. Or the RS*R exmag. Although, these are very hard to find.
You can also just have someone make an exhaust.

I'll have to check the exhausts, I want them to be street legal. I've been looking at the Tanabe Hyper Medallion, just wanted to make sure you fit the car not the engine. And, I've been reading on the b20 swap, and I read that the header on the b20 are too tall to fit under the hood, so I need a different one.

you're thinking about the intake manifold. you need a b18b manifold to clear the hood.

That would be good. This is going to be a track car eventually, so if I can keep it stock I don't gain as many class points. The Del Sol starts in the F class for TT/TA, so if I can keep it from climbing too far (I'd love to be in D class), then I think I can be seriously competitive with the swap.

The GSR has the same bolt pattern as any other B series on the exhaust side of the head. The B20 is taller than the B16. I figured a B18 header would fit since teh B18s were slightly taller as well.
So ...the B16 header is the one that might not work out.
