Default b20vtec what u guys think?

I was lookin through one of my D Sport magazines, and I saw a advertisement for Eagle stroker kits. And they gotta b20 kit that increases displacement to 2156cc which makes it a 2.2 liter(I think)for $1499. So my question is if i got this kit fitted to a b20 with a jdm h22 type s head what kinda power you guys think it will produce? and is it worth it or not? I was thinkin instead of doin a gsr head w/ b20 this kit and head combo would make alot more power(correct me if im wrong). Any and all options/suggestion welcome.

I don't think mixing the b and h series blocks/heads is possible...
I think there are too many differences is oil/cooling passages and such... but im not really sure, i've never taken an h apart. but i thought that's what denoted the h or b series stamp...?

apart from the technical-challenges, I'm willing to bet the b16/b18c/c5 heads will out flow an h series anyway. Plus you've got the difference in combustion chambers etc. so who knows what kind of compression you'll end-up with... On top of that, you'll find way more aftermarket support for the b's.

im willing to bet its possible.. but i don't think the effort is worth the results.. You might as-well sleeve your block and do it the right way... and say screw the gsr/h22 stroker kit hybrid thing you're trying to come up with.

you should change your name to dipstickracing.....j/k!

the stroker kit increases displacement through the custom crankshaft.

the h series block and head are impossible to hybrid with b series. although a b series tranny can be mated to h longblocks.

the sickest street setup would be a type r tranny with nice h22 type s longblock. make it as light as possible with light fly, no power steering, no ac, carbon fiber hood, plus mics. other parts in the front end removed can yield weight numbers very close to b series.

if cash is plenty, you could just buy a cheap broke h22 and sleave it and get a custom crank which is also subtantially lighter than stock. put in some decent compression pistons and your rolling with nicely tuned k's......lets not get into k's......

No u wouldn't be able to put an h series head on a b series block...even if u could it wouldn't be worth it....go with b20 vtec they are way better then the ls vtec no matter what anyone on here will tell u. go with a b16 head it out flows a GS-R head unless u got the money for a TYPE-R head then go for that.
