B20V has slight sputter/Bog Help
I just recently installed a running B20V from a EJ in to a EK hatch. After getting it wired in and firing it up I'm noticing a bog/sputter at around 2500rpms. I have searched high and low through this VERY helpful forum and have tried just about everything. I have no CEL on. Let me give you a breakdown of the setup.
B20z2 Block (stock)
99-00 B16 head (stock)
GSR Tranny
P28 (untuned at the moment, it ran fine in the EJ)
98 EK Hatch
I'm going to have it tuned but want to get rid of the hick up first before I spend the money to have it tuned. I thought it was timing and checked both base and ignition timing and they are right on. The one thing that changed from the original setup was I took off the AEM Fuel rail and regulator. I was wondering if this and the fact that I'm running a stock D15 fuel pump have anything to do with the sputter/ Bog? I know you guys have to answer this crap all the time but I have searched high and low to find out if anyone has experienced this. This whole setup ran perfectly fine in the EJ and I kept the Stock P28 so that I didn't destroy this stock B20z2 block. I never mash it I only wanted some decent power for my EK with out being a scene. Thanks in advance
