Default B20b4 h8gh compression motor

Hi guys I am about to do a b20b4 swap into my 2000 hatchback but tue manifold for the high compression b20 is too tall and it wont make my hood close can i use a b18b manifold . Will it fit my fuel rail or i have to change them as well

B20 and B18B parts swap without any difficulty.

If you have the giraffe manifold it's not high compression.


Use a B18B manifold, for clearance.

Yup was just going to say the same thing. Sounds like you got the low CR, 126hp B20B4.

In US the only high CR B20 was the B20Z with the plastic box on top of the low rise intake manifold.

Yeah, it's possible he has that and he's not divulging said info. He could technically remove the box and just fit a cap over the hole, it'd work, but he'd lose a bit of midrange due to the decreased volume.

Im just hoping OP is getting all the other small things needed for a B20 swap...


Nothing like doing a swap and then realizing you need alot of parts.

Everyone thinks because B20s are cheaper, that they just swap right in..
