B20B no start after swap, got crank, spark, and fuel presure but no fuel in motor
Hey guys, doing a B20B swap in a 93 Del Sol. Right now we onyl have a P28 ECU, which I know is the incorrect ECU for the motor, however I was hoping it would at least start.
Using a B16 harness since car originally had a B16A, cut the wires for the injectors and spliced onto the B20 injector plugs since the B20 didn't come with the full harness. Cut and spliced the plugs from the B16 distributor onto the B20 distributor. I have spark, I have crank, but I'm not smelling fuel (and theres no header so no fuel is coming out). I tried cranking with the plugs out and still didn't smell any fuel. I have fuel pressure at the rail but it seems the injectors aren't injecting.
Would this be caused by the incorrect ECU or is there something else wrong?
Thanks anyone that can help! Just to confirm, to run this B20B I need a P75 ECU, correct?
And if I get the P75 ECU, it's OBD2 so I would need the step down harness for the ECU?

- JDM B20B
- B16A harness
- Cut B16A harness for B20 injector plugs
- Cut B20 dizzy harness to have OBD1 b16 plugs
- P28 ECU

Do you have power and ground pulse at the injectors [are the injectors pulsing].
The PGM-FI Main Relay powers both the fuel pump and the fuel injectors, but are two different relays the fuel pump relay may be working and the fuel injector relay not, or the ECU/ECM is not supplying the ground pulse, 94

Remove the fuel rail with the injectors and check whether the injectors spray fuel in pulses while cranking the engine.

I picked up an LS manifold with OBD1 injectors and I'm gonna put the OBD1 plugs back and try and fire it up on tuesday.
