Default b20 worth it???

i have a 99 civic si i want to know is it a better idea to leave the b16a2 in the car and just play with bolt ons and stuff or is the hp and torque gain worth it from a b20 build?

You could swap the B20 block underneath the B16 head.
Best of both worlds.

No, it's better to take the B16A2 out of the car, and then play with bolt ons and stuff.

You need to decide what 'kind' of car you'd like to have, pick your goals, and figure a budget.
I've got friends that view turboed-hondas as the ultimate-insult to Honda engineers. Some of them are willing to spend twice as much on NA builds to achieve similar numbers to stock block turbo-hondas... its wierd.

Like for example if your goal is mid-elevens reliably...
And you're an NA man, go b20/vtec and build it. If you are a turbo fan, turbo what you have... If you just want to get into the elevens regardless of how its done (and have an endless-budget) build a b20/vtec turbo.
