B20 Vtec Misfiring :(
Whats up,
Haven't been on H-T in a while. I see much haven't changed
I don't have much details for you guys to begin helping me on this issue so I just have a general question to ask. Would a different ecu cause a perfectly running B20 Vtec to start misfiring???
It was running a chipped P28 before the trade then I plugged in my chipped P72 and drove off. Right from the get go it started misfiring and bogging. Once i push it to 5th gear it would misfire until it caught a spark then run like a champ after, but ONLY in 5th gear. If I down shift its the same thing all over again.
*Note*
Before the trade the car was misfiring with the P28. But problems seemed fixed. Took it for several runs and it ran like a champ through all gears no problems. Could it have also been a temporary fix maybe as well???
I dont know much about hondas or cars but it was said to be the coil or distrubitor. Its a B20B block with a GSR Vtec head.
Any help will be appreciated
