B20 VTEC Headgasket leak on fresh rebuild
i started my car up two days ago. after letting it run i did not notice any leaks. today i went back and let it run and gave it a few revs and noticed a few drops out of the corner in the front under the VTEC solenoid. remember that this is a fresh rebuild (head was resurfaced, all seals replaced. ARP head studs.. etc)
maybe you guys have a solution to this problem? btw my dowels are lined up, my gasket is on the correct way, and i have a Cometic 84.5mm head gasket (my bore size). the car will be boosted soon but im breaking it in NA. car does not overheat by any means and has a smooth idle. my only problem is this small leak. I will take pictures tonight

cam seal? vtec solenoid gasket? my ls/vtec has a very small leak around that area and we built it back in april. I would clean it up and start it again and take a closer look at that area

It's really not ideal to resurface the Honda heads since they are aluminum (as I've seen posted around here - not sure about the block though) and there is not much room to "play" with. I would get a new head (and depending if the machine shop resurfaced the bottom end as well, that might need to be replaced). The more you grind off the more you are taking the head and bottom end away from being perfect. They both have to be perfectly resurfaced in order to prevent leaks.
