b20 vtec
i have a 95 civic hatch right with a b16 with a type r tranny. i'm about taking out the motor and taking the head off and putting a b20 block in and putting the b16 head on. but i've heard alot of different things about this swap. lots of torque but lower hp. what do u guy think? right now it pulls pretty good but i'm looking for a little more without having to go boost.

B20's are a beast, especially if you build it right. I/H/E is enough for it to be a beast haha. Have you read the thread about building a reliable B20/Lsvtec?
This swap doesn't have low HP, even if it does the torque makes it up. If you really want the B20 in it, just go for it and good luck.

Re: b20 vtec
im in the process of building a b20vtec too.
12:1 cp pistons, eagle rods, skunk 2 stage 2 cams, full bolt ons mild head work.
should put down 200-230 when finished
200-230 should be good with the torque behind it
