ok i was gonna do a GSR but i would have to wait i would be able to do the b20 a lil quicker cause i can buy the stuff i need fairly quicker...also i was wondering what would give me the better preformance with this set up

i'd say go GSR...i think it'll be cheaper in the long run and alot more reliable

Two differnt motors that will satisfy two differnt kind of driving styles! What do you do! The b20 would be alot of torque early on in the rpms(if left stock) The b18 has more than a b16, but it doesn't measure up to the b20, but it makes it up in high revving capabilities! And is able to make huge power with turbos and other bolt on's. It's all preference! You could make alot of power by bolting on a b16 head to the gsr block too!

will you be upping the compression on the motor? if not, you dont need to get sk2s2 cams. just get stage 1's or ctr's

but my vote will go for b20 vtec if you know what you are doing and can build it all yourself. if not id say go gsr just for the ease and reliablility,

B20 VTEC relatively cheap good horsepower powerplant, but less reliability compared to GSR and you won't be able to rev as high safely. But I would personally go for the GSR.

well i was planning on building the b20vtec myself 1st time doing it but the write up that was posted earlier seemed very informative and would help me out plunty
it is still up in the air someone local is now selling a b20vtec with gsr head and a few extras with a b16 tranny for 2400 might hit him up who knows though.. also couldnt the revability be helped by the crank case breather kit that is on theoldone.com??

B20vtec would be great...is it really meant to rev high though? With a longer stroke, designed for low rpm torque, will it be reliable if revved high all the time when mated to a vtec head? I guess what I'm saying is could the bottom end of the motor keep up with the head?

i have a friend non build low end but when he opens it up on his b20vtec he takes it to roughly 8000 to 8500 but he is about to pull his block and buiild it some more also i am gonna be starting from a bare block and building up so i would probable build for the high revs

i personally say b18c if you have the money... the only b20 i've ridden in has had traction problems
