Default b20 swap? any problems i might run into? searched***

im looking at getting a b20b from hmotorsonline within the short future and was wondering what problems i might have in the swap. i heard something about alt brackets not working and using d series parts,i also heard something about the eg throttle cable not working on the b20 manifold (using ls anyways, just like to know) but i need to know what to use before i buy the motor

gonna be running a stock b20b
LS intake mani, throttle bodie, and blah

oh an car is 92lx sedan

use b-series alt. bracket/alt. get a B20 alt belt....otherwise the LS/GSR/B16 squeaks bad.

Other than that, it is a straight-forward swap

Why in the world would having a b20 cause alternator problems? That's like saying Living south of the equator I'd go bald.

EDIT: Using a b-series alternotr bracket is an obvious must on a b series swap.

well...you said your car was a 92 so its a obd1 and a b20 would be a obd2...so you gonna have to convert the motor to obd1... your dizzy, ecu, injectors, and i do believe the altornator bracket has to be changed too....you cant use the b20 axles, you gonna have to get diff b series axles...i if your car still has a D series, you gonna need to change the rear mount bracket...maybe it missing a few small things and maybe someone can post it if i am...im off to bed...peace..

you can use the stock mount but gonna need a rear mount bracket...not sure if thats what you meant, im using an 99-00 SI bracket on my EG but not sure about the rear bracket....if no one answers your question, you can atleast try searching for your answer because im sure this has been covered LOTS of times....check the archive files while searching and also try the "Post Bodies (Return a post listing, slower)" option while searching...
