B20 swap
Im new to the civic fam, and i love my car. Im looking to do a b20 swap and trying to find some LEGIT help. I fell apon this forum cause frankly all the other forums are full of idiots and opionated ******. I just looking to get some help on pieceing it together. I understand that basically im looking at using just the b20 block then piecing the other parts. Im just looking to see what i can use from a b20 and what i cant. I was planning on buying a full b20 engine minus tranny, then using gsr tranny and im till i get a vtec head. What ecu do i use and should i just go hondata s300 and call it a day.? Just looking for opions from people who actually KNOW what there talking about
btw its a 96 Ex with a d16y8 that i pulled. Currently going over the whole body fixing little rust and suspension. Hit me up. Thanks

Yea b20 with gsr tranny and head. B16 head and tranny is fine too. Im just wondering what i have to use to drop it in my 96 civic coupe. Its a ex with a d16y8 that i ripped out. Im just looking for what i need to put it in
ECU and such, and what mounts i need. What alt, water pump, and other stuff. Basically a top to bottom list of all the parts. If theres a thread like this then just drop me a link.

Re: (gwilguy)
start out by reading this guide here, it should have a all the information your looking for.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/878010
if after reading that you still have questions, feel free to ask. just run the stock ls ecu till you do the head swap then you will need a chipped ecu.
read up and search for lsv builds, there is alot more then just throwing a new head on.
get friendly with the bright red button that says search up top. you most likely will find the answer to your problem before you post. if after searching you still cant get your question answered then post up a new topic.
