hey i am building a b20vtec with left over b16 head and parts. i pretty much have two complete motors.

as far as i can see, the b20 has no oil squirters in the block and the b16 does have oil squirters. is this gonna be a problem? if so....

should i....
-find a way to tap the b20 block for oil squirters? (i don't want to take crank all apart at this point)
-ignore the oil squirters from the b16 and do without? (is this alright to do and what bad might come of it?)

nah your good. the oil squirters are for just cooling the pistons skirts at high RPMs and the B20/LS crank wont clear the oil squirters people plug and remove them all the time when they stroke gsr or b16 blocks.

I read somewhere that not all B16s had oil jets, 1st gen I think it was.

Larry Widmer said something like those oil jets get "oil all over the place".
He doesn't use them in his builds and plugs the holes iirc.

Larry says so.

gotta listen to larry he is the man not only do they get oil everywhere they also lower your oil pressure, so when you plug them it bumps up your oil pressure
