he wasnt asking about b20vtec...but if thats all you want to know then h22a is better. it all depends on how much money, and what your intentions are

What is the car being used for? Are you talking about a B20 or B20/Vtec set up? B20 vs H22 is apples and oranges.

I wasn't talking to you, as you can see, I didn't quote you. I was simply asking if he may have been referring to a B20/V.
Again, a B20 vs an H22 is is like apples to oranges.

It's basic reading comprehension, but if it's too much for you, maybe you should learn to "read."

No need to worry about me. But if you have an issue or problem with me, my PM is always available. No need to ruin this individuals thread.

Once again, just for you, the motors he's asking about are not in the same price, power, torque, gearing, or certification range. I'm trying to establish what he's aiming for, so he can get some help on making a decision. I hope that was clear enough for you Albert.

well cmon guys... i think the b20 would have more room for turbo upgrade. if you wanna go turbo, the b20 might make your life a lil easier. My friend has a h22 in his hatch and i could barely stick my big hands in there.

No ****, but maybe he's thinking of going B20 vtec in the future like 99% of other b20 buyers out there. COmparing a vtec2.2 to a non vtec motor leaves a lot to wonder about.
Why don't you think, before talking **** to someone thats helped countless people in this forum. Hes trying to gather as much information as he can to help the guy out.

it all depends how you want to look at it if your in this game and just looking to get the best bang for your buck and want to spend a limited amount of money and not really sure if you want to keep the motor or car and dont want to spend time researching for custom parts for a motor then with out adoubt go with a b series but if your serious and are getting in this game competitivly and want something that you are going to keep and build slowly and put time into and have patients i would go with a h series i made this desicion many years ago when i switched from a b series to a h realizing that everybody at the time was putting b series in their cars and thought if i put a b series in mine im just going to be where everybody else is rite now so i opted for the h long story short the same people that said i was crazy for putting the h been through numerous b series with all different setups and have switched to bigger motors now to sum it up=
b vs h stock h will win
b vs h at a medium built level being that you really cant put a set of forged pistons in a h series without sleeving .bseries wins
b vs h on a high built level h will win
this is only a matter of opinoin but my opinion is experience on both motors on all levels
time, money, patients and knowledge is what seperates the boys from the men

i agree, this is the basic logic that i followed. "time, money, patients and knowledge". h22a is great if you just plan on mild up grades. B20 + is that it's got pretty good TQ Almost as much as the h22a right? But lacks HP. At any rate giving that i only plan on tracking the car and DO NOT plan on turboing it or upgrading piston's etc. I am taking the H22a over any B-series ( unless someone want's to trade a B18c1 for my h22a4 ) in which case i'd be swaping over the arrr!

-- btw i thought it was " you seperate the MEN from the BOYS, by how EXPENSIVE the TOYS "
