Default b20 EK question

planning to do i a b20 swap this week with itr tranny..my old motor blew and i wanted to run off of the same ecu [JDM ITR]..also before hand will i have a CEL once i get everything in and wired up or will i be in the clear..if so what ecu should i run w/o having to chip an ecu like a p28..

Run a 37820-PHK-A02 ECU (B20Z) if your car is a 99-00 or a 37820-P3F-A01 ECU (B20B) if your car is a 96-98.

Those are the stock ECUs if you dont want to run a chipped ECU.

VTEC solenoid and knock sensor for sure. Oh, and you'll need an LS intake manifold.

Well, the P73 will look for those things and the B20 doesn't have it. Until you get a VTEC head, you'll run that CEL. The B20 manifold comes up too high to clear the hood.

will the b20 Intake manifold fit if i do the [GAY] hood lift that i have seen in a few cars on HT

it doesnt look that heigh.. the second ridge on the IM cover is whats going to hit..but possible a 1 in raise might give me the clearence i need to close the hood

you need to change the manifold for sure, it will not clear. just get a b16 head and drop it in

looks like the air filter box on my d14 engine :D air filter and throttle body ar mounted above the intake mainfold
