Re: b20 civic (ek forever guy)
im guessing he just wants to get the swap in and go from there though it would be alot easier to modify the tranny while its outside lol.

Longer gears with slower acceleration. What are you eventual goals with the car?

Longer gearing compared to GSR/ITR/B16. With the b20 it will be slower with a ls transmission as opposed to a b16

Get a custom tuned ECU. http://www.ecutuning.com has a bunch and you can even ask them to customize it for you.

Re: b20 civic (charjacq)
the ls tranny come out of an economy minded integra. Hence the slower/longer gears.
A lot of people complain about their LS swaps and a lot of the time it's because they are using the LS tranny.
I noticed a big difference in switching from my y7 tranny to a y8 tranny in my d16.
One of the best mods IMO for a couple hundred bucks.

Exactly.
Any Honda engine, if your going NA and want quick acceleration you generally would want a short geared transmission(IE b16). I run a b16a2 tranny on my 95 b18b with a light fresh rebuild and it ran great. The 10lb flywheel and light CTR crank pulley helped me go too

i would opt for a b16.. if i couldnt find one id settle with a gsr, nothing less.
axles? im pretty sure any b series will work... not positive.
im also planning on doing this... but where are OBD2 to OBD1 converion harnesses found?
im assuming you are using a 99+ crv motor right? if you are using anything older u may have an intake manifold problem with being to big to clear the firewall.
