That is a very good question. I just purchased a '96 B20 with a GSR Tranny. I want to put the VTEC head on it, but I don't want to ding the pistons and screw up the valves.
Love the new hatch, but it's hard to beat the B16 in my '99 Si. Only had the B20 for 5 days. Still want to VTEC it.

A Vtec head will clear the pistons with no Problems.
ok I have the following swap in my 97 hatch.
2000 b16a2 head and tranny
2000 b20z2
1999 CTR cams
ACT- 8lb flywheel, 6 puck, Pressure Plate
AEM- Cam Gears, Fuel Rail, FPR
DC Sports 4-1
