wondering if the b20 which is known for its bad sleeves would stand up well in my car with no plans of turbo probally some bolt ons i/h/e and some cams maybe but thats really all i plan how reliable would that be...

from what i know...any motor with basic bolt ons i/h/e should be pretty reliable...it just depends on how much your gonna race the car....any motor at all if you floor it all the time is gonna screw up....but other than that...it should be pretty reliable....if you do happen to do b20/vtec(putting a b16 or b18 vtec head on the b20 block) just do it right.... dont find a cheap way out of it...do it the best you can and youll have a good reliable motor..just tune it......so yeah basically just dont floor it all day long and race it hard...and you should have a pretty reliable motor.

yea im not a redline 2 redline kinda person when it comes 2 daily driven i just like 2 go 2 the races every other week or so really and i dont plan on hte vtec part because ill be a freshmen college next fall semester

Dont rev it to hell and back. Stay within the factory CRV limits. Just because its in a civic, doesnt change the characteristics of the motor itself.

yea im going 2 college next year so i want at least some moderate gains over stock... so im going 2 use a stock ls ecu so im keeping that rev limiter the same i dont want 2 rev it any higher only thing i may do is bump the compression what do you suggest... i was thinken maybe some gsr pistons to keep it in the 10s i dont know how 11 compression would last in the crv dependability wise ... and other then that some more agressive cams... any suggestions

i take that back gsr pistons wont fit the bore... any ideas

I think theres a company out there making their own profile of cast ITR pistons in a variety of sizes...anyone confirm this???

basically its just new pistons...you can buy pistons from anyone...they make many diffrent sizes...if your gonna do new pistons...remember what i said in my first post...do it right the first time...dont find a cheap way out...you get what you pay for.

i have a b20z(vtec) and using the stock crv piston. if you want high comp the b20z is about 10.1 and the b20b have about 8.5. but if you plan to rev pretty high i suggest you change the stock rod bolt to some APR rod bolt

no,no,no....they are still cast hyperutectic pistons, same exact profile as a JDM P73-00, same skirt size, dome size, valve reliefs, everything. Only, they offer them in bigger sizes than 81 and 81.25, which honda only offers.
