B18cR EG hatch New Best time!!!!!
Well I ran a new best time in my car. I got slicks last week on lenso rims and went out to the 1/8th mile track about 20 minutes from my house.
I ended up running a 7.995 @ 86.34 mph with a 1.71 60 ft. I was launching the car at 7200. The motor is stock internally and has:
MSD digital plus SCI ignition
AEM FPR
Iridium Plugs
ITR AEM CAI
Stock clutch
stock axles
RSR gtII exhaust <-----bad ***
Kenji p28 ecu
No tuning once so ever
I had the rear hatch stripped and one race
seat in it.
Car was weighing 2175 with me in it.

are those suppose to be pics of slips........... i got red X's
on a side note...... try launching at a lowering rpm......... 7200 seems a bit high to me, but i suppose you know your car better than I.
get it tuned and perhaps a better/upgraded clutch..... good job.... great 60 ft. times

Re: B18cR EG hatch New Best time!!!!! (Rspec CX)
the reason I am launching so high is because Im on stock axles and would rather spin a little than bog and break something. I need to get a lower vtec engagement then I wont have to launch quite as high but 1.71 60 ft's are pretty damn good if you ask me for launching so high.

Holy **** bro nice times.
I believe I was running 8.2-8.4 1/8th mile times while pulling 13.3@101mph in the 1/4 mile on a 2.0 60 footer in a 2040lb. hatch (2190lbs. with me in it) with an untuned R swap, so you're really hauling some ***!
Sounds like you have a 12 second car there buddy.

Seems like the 7200 is good if he's pulling 1.7 60's

Re: B18cR EG hatch New Best time!!!!! (EM1b18cR)
yeah....I should be down in the 12.3-12.5 1/4 mile time. In the next couple of weeks Im heading to Wiredspeedlab ( old ks motorsports) to get the hondata s200 and get it tuned while Im there, I should pull out a lot more HP Im running really rich on the upper RPMs the last time I dynoed before I got the RSR exhaust when I was running the Apexi WS I only dynoed 170 whp and it dropped power from 7-9 because of how rich it was running. I need tuning really bad. With a couple more things (tuning included) I should be able to get it really close to 11's which wouldnt be bad for a daily driven/internally stock street car!

Re: B18cR EG hatch New Best time!!!!! (ian)
I need ideas on what to do next.....motor wise. Also my goal is to run in the street series next season and be competitive. I think the white CRX that runs 11.7's is one of the fastest right now.

Re: (betterwind)
I'm not familiar with the mechanics of hondata tuning, but vtec doesn't engage under a certain speed, so if you want to launch in vtec, you'll have to disable the VSS check for VTS.
