b18c5 into EG hatch? mount question
so i want to put a 98+ spec ITR (b18c/5) motor into an EG civic hatch. i found these mounts by hasport:
http://www.hasport.com/products/mount_kits/egstk.htm
will these be the right kit?
also, with a b18c swap, can you keep power steering? dont care about a/c tho.
will this car be legal (i have heard discussion of not being legal because of the OBDII and OBDI swap)?
and what else will i need assuming the mounts, full ITR motor. will i need a obdI to obdII converter? what else am i forgetting?

these are the ones you need. Those others was just stock replacements i think. If your takling about smog legal i think it can be. You'll need a integra (94-01) shift linkage also. My friend has a gsr swap in his ek with power steering so im thinking you can, someone makes the mounts i know

yea you should be able to keep yours ps.
as far as the swap being illegal, as long aas you have all the emissions crap you should be fine.

Re: b18c5 into EG hatch? mount question
A) You do not need hasport mounts for this swap
B) You just need B-series engine mounts out of a 94-01 Acura Integra, and 94-01 Integra shift linkage.
C) The integra engine wiring harness plugs DIRECTLY into your chassis harness on the 92-95 civics (essentially your factory civic wiring 'converts' the engine to your factory OBD1 wiring connections.
D) It is illegal to 'downgrade' to OBD1 in a few states (such as California), Check with your local emission control authorities on this issue if your car needs to pass emissions. if you do not have emissions, you can put whatever your heart desires under the hood of the car. (I had a 96 B18B1 in my 92 EG, but I'm exempt)
