b18c5 For A EJ1 Or EJ6 A Good Choice??????
I talked to friend of mine today and he is considering to switch from a turbo d16 to a b18c5 for N/a. Is this a good choice or will he regret it. i know tom has a C5 and some other people but for the ones who have it, do you think its worth paying 5000 for it? or go d16 turbo?

for 5000 he could just build up his d16 and crank up the boost with money left over. turbo d16

You can get a c5 for cheaper than 5gs on http://www.japandomesticmotor.com they sell it for 4gs, but i would agree with the other post, keep that boosted d16, cheap replacement parts and light, you can make the d16 faster with less money, but you will have a stronger n/a with the c5, you also will be able to sell some of your stock parts and turbo, so decide whether to stay boost or not to boost

I'm the guy selling the turbo D. After I sell the turbo and all of my D parts I can get the ITR swap for like 2500 bucks. It'll cost me like 1500 or more (y8 tranny, SRR 4.9fd, Quaife LSD) for a comperable transmission. That won't cover getting my 100k motor resleeved. I just think swapping to a new lower mileage motor will help cut down on all of the turbo maintenece I do now and other crap I hate about having a turbo (letting it cool down, etc.)
I just want the OEM reliabilty of a 200hp motor.
