b18c5 in eg swap
alright, i got hold of a type R clip, couple questions :
what do i need to recover from the car to make the swap work? (92 eg hatch) :
so far got this :
longblock
tranny
axles/cv
ac compressor
inter driveshaft
ecu
fuel pump
will these other items bolt into the EG?:
radiator/fan
also, what other parts will i need:
i can think of -
HAsport (or other) bseries mount for 92-95 civic
do i need their specific shift linkage and wiring harness as well (i plan on converting to an obd1 integra dash, does this affect this)? also, is the individual drivers side mount worth the extra $150
thanks, i tried searching a little bit, but hoping to get some personalized responses

Re: b18c5 in eg swap (paikman)
Basically unbolt the entire motor/tranny and everything attached to it and you'll use all of that. You can get the subframe, suspension, brakes, sway bars just about everything
They won't bolt in but making your own brackets you can use it. I've seen it done in many Civic's.
Aftermarket mounts aren't necessary, just use a mix of stock Civic and the Integra mounts.
Get the shift linkage and engine harness.

Re: b18c5 in eg swap (paikman)
is it even worth saving the radiator unit, like if i have the $$ to upgrade to a fluidyne unit now, might as well do that right?

what do i need to recover from the car to make the swap work? (92 eg hatch) :
Suspension
Fuel pump (With Low Level indicator)
Entire Dash or just the cluster (up to you)
Fuel Tank (Don't know yet if its a bolt on they look the same but will they bolt the same? will find out)
seats
map light (front one)
exaust
If you do have the entire car i would do the complete Harness swap too cause you woun't have to buy OBD2-OBD1 harness then wire in the VTEC (SI,VX, Candian CX excluded cause they already have VTEC wire)
