Default B18C5 Civic worth the money...?

I found a 92' CX w/ 105,xxx on the body. The car was repainted Gunmetal but the paint job needs some touching up.The interior needs some work.It has Rota wheels not sure which ones.

The good part. The guy swapped in a B18C1 swap that he purchased from a private seller. The engine had some troubles. So the guy bought a brand new B18C5 block from honda with papers. The block has 13,xxx miles on it.

Heres the mods list as far as engine goes...

b18c5 block
b18c1 head
b16 tranny
skunk2 manifold
crower titanium springs and retainers
obx underdrive pulley
all new seals
new water pump
new timing belt
new ACT clutch (stage1)
new motor mounts
new shift linkage

Q:Is this a good setup?

Q:Is the car worth (IYO) $5300.

Thanks

Is it a clean swap? Did the guy actaully know what he was doing?
I'd definalty do a compression and leak down test. I got screwed on my swap for not doing that.
Considering you can't hardly find a stock hatch for less then 3K, 5.3K might not be too bad.
I'm not sure what to think about the C5 block with the C1 head though.....
B16 tranny on a B18?

Im also thinking of just buying a stock 94' Si with 85k miles for $3500. and just swapping in a stock B18C1.Im kinda weary about modded motors done by other people.

But then thats would be 3500. for the car.3400 for swap, 1200 for suspension yada yada yada

modded car aren't that bad...you just need to do an compression test/hit the highway and see how it holds.

What benefit is the B18C5 block if it has a B18C1 head with upgraded valvetrain?

Like everyone had already said in here run a quick comp test it it shoots good number than you should be fine. All in all it is a good deal. Especially with the bottom end only having 13k on it. Buying a previously modded car genarlly you can get great deals. Mods dont hold there retail value at all. Ive invested well over 20k into one of mine and Id be lucky to get more then 10k for it. So if your plans are to put a motor in there you will be saving alot more money buying one already built.

Also not really sure if there is much benifit with that head on there but you could take it off and throw on a b16 head and have a poor mans type R.

It's worth it if you think it is. We don't need to tell you otherwise. Regardless if it might be someone else's nightmare, you're still going to buy it, no matter what we say.
