Re: B18c5 and B18c1 (YellowCivic95)
Nope. The B18C5 has a ported B16A head. Head designs of the C1 and C5 are different. There's also a difference in the intake manifold, I heard; but I'm not sure what it is.

Not at all.
Off the top of my head let me think of the differences:
B18C5:
Higher compression
Better cams
Intake manifold w/o dual butterflies - short, fat runners
Anti-friction coated pistons
Lighter rods
Different Crank
Different valvetrain
Different Head - ported and polished by hand from the factory (mild P&P)
Lighter flywheel
Hand-assembled too.
There's more I'm sure, but that was off the top of my head.
If we're talking swap, then also consider that the B18C5 swaps will come with a closer-geared tranny with Honda LSD. This is every bit as important as horsepower, because if you can't keep the power on the ground or keep the motor in it's powerband, then what good is it?

The intake manifolds are diffrent shape. The Type-R Intake Manifold looks just like the B16 one. The GSR Manifold tucks underneith the which hangs lower then the valve cover.

Re: B18c5 and B18c1 (Frostbyte)
Actually the ITR manifold and the B16A manifold do not look identical.
They look similiar, but the ITR one has shorter, fatter runners and a bigger surge tank.
when side by side the differences are very noticable.
