B18C5, 18A crank, CTR pistons, B16A head, Help Again...torque settings?
I have built up my motor... got my CTR pistons pressed off the B16B rods and onto B18A (LS) rods... Now i put in the crank and new main bearings... I tried to use GSR bearing caps... but when torqued the crank was reeeally tight... hard to turn by hand... now i have installed the LS bearing caps, which i thought would be right since im using a LS crank.
What are the torque settings that i should be using? we have a honda book... but we are not sure which torque is for this build... we have been torquing to 58 instead of the 64 for a vtec engine. Neither of these seem right to me... i just think that the crank shudnt be that tight... if it is sooo hard for me to spin it by hand...how could my starter? I just think it should be a lil easier, are my settings correct??
I ran into so much problems with this engine build... im in the final stages of the build, and i need help to ensure that this bad boy lasts.
Help plz
