b18c4 no vtec need help

Default b18c4 no vtec need help

I am hopeing you guys can help me I have just done a b18c4 swap on my eg coupe which had a d15b7 non vtec I used the stock wiring loom as it was obd1 and I'm running a obd1 p30 ecu I have wired in the vtec selonid and oil pressure which has got rid of the cel codes but still no vtec. Wrecking my head!! The car is showing cel codes 3 and 41. Can u help ms Plz want vtec! Cheers

Knock sensor? Is your O2 good?

there is no knock sensor and its throwing up cel sodes 3 and 41 now any ideas?

was thinkin that the map sensor wires are wrong going into the ecu?

Fix the CEL codes and go from there. It's only logical to do so. And if it's in limp mode = no VTEC.
Not sure how well a B18 will run using a P30.
Also, pretty sure all B18C VTEC engines have knock sensors.

ok changed th02 so thats fixed hard wired the map sensor straight to the ecu cleaped the code only done this temp by strippin a small piece and connecting the wires then soldered it on now the cel code 3 is back and all the wires are in the correct location wtf ????? i honestly dont know what else to try. the car starts and idles at 1100 and no vtec ?? if i unplug the coolant temp sensor the car idles normal but no vtec i dont know what to do

also tried a diff map sensor same thing happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!
