Default b18c1 wiring help!

im swapping a gsr motor into my 99 ex coupe. there are some spots where sensors do not plug in, i know this is the distribuitor plug but my ex harnes will not plug into it.


also there is a sensor on the power steering line, does that plug in to anything now?

are you using the harness from the ex motor or the integra harness? you have to use the civic ex harness, you might have to depending on what year the motor is you might have to switch the plug on the dizzy, the plug for the power steering pressure switch will be on the engine harness.

Also some of the sensors will have to made longer and some shorter, there also will be a extra plug for the crankshaft flucuation sensor that goes into the timming cover. You might want to check http://technet.ff-squad.com/ i thing there is a change in the pinout of the ecu from a civic to integra ecu.. if your ecu is a obd2a or b you might have to use a jumper harness check here this is where i got mine http://www.boomslang.us/

i'm using the EX harnes. the motor is a 97ish so its a conversion from obd2a - obd2b
i have the harness that converts on the ecu.
so would i have to take the wire with that conector off my ex motor and put it on my new dizzy on the gsr?
the fitting on the power steering line is green.

Yea you have to use the plug from the d16 dizzy on the b18c dizzy. you will end up with extra wires, the obd2a b18c dizzy has a extra wire for the tach reference that you dont need

use your ex harness everything will plug right up, do not use the gsr harness, make sure you swap out the tiimg belt side mount that bolts to the block cuz its diff

i have to get an si mount? we lowered the motor down into place and all the bolts line up, there is the brackets for them on there but i use the stock ex rubber correct?

here is a resonse i got from honda swap.com

"since your car is a 99 ex u can use your obd2 harness all u need to do is get a 99-00 si dizzy and will plug into your wire harness, u will need to take out stuff from your old single cam motor such as injectors,iacv, and that should be it"

any thoughts? i keep gettind different awnsers! help me please!

yo man the safest thing for u to do is get a 99-oo si wire harness i have done the swap before and i am telling u i did all the wiring crap and u will not get vtec use the si harness and everything will plug up wit no cutting if u have any problems contact me 718 674 2844 its my life

just match up the colors of the wires and dont use the extra light blue tach wire...its as easy as that

soo just splice my old harness from the ex dizzy into the new dizzy on the b18 correct? or would i need to take apart the dizzy and match all the wires up to there correct spots. im sure splicing them is alot easier. or should they be soddered?

you need the male and female part of the dizzy clip...gsr or d series...i would go with the gsr clip so you dont have to modify other distributors in the future if one ever fails...then match up the colors...i soldered mine...i have a diagram for the wires if you hit me up with an email address..pm me if you want and ill get you through this easy fix.. i was freakin out about when i had to do it too
