Taking stuff apart is easy its putting it back together that you would need a DIY or instructions for.
If you are not mechanically inclined enough to take a block apart without a DIY I sure hope you don't plan on putting it back together yourself.

i've done a few swaps. Taking heads on and off. Never took apart a block though. I rather learn and not have to pay a shop to do it. I wanna learn myself. Yes I know a manual would help. Thought i would check here first on honda tech since its FREE. and yes i already looked and searched for a how to or diy.

Go buy the manual its like 14 bucks....you wont just need it for the engine, it will come in handy. Those men took a lot of time snapping pictures of everything needed to be done and step-by-step instructions...so why should we feel forced to pamper pictures and information from a free-site. Just buy one....Im sure if you look hard enough on the internet you can find one free somewhere...

When it comes to putting it back together Evans Tuning has a good DIY on their site with video and all. Combine that with a manual and you should be good to go.

Here is a step by step:
Drain oil. Take exhaust off. Oil pan. Girdle (assuming GSR) then whoa rods! Take the cap bolts quarter off (if that) hit with mallet slightly to break rods apart. take caps off....take crank out and hope you dont have excessive scoring.

The point is you shouldn't need a how to or DIY to take one apart. start at the oil pan and just start unbolting stuff. I would suggest having a box of ziploc bags and putting bolts, nuts etc. into a bag and label it. (I.E Oil Pan bolts, head studs etc.)
