Default b18c1 swap into 97 civic cx hatch questions

ive benn sitting on a b18 from a 94 GS-R. and i just got my hands on a 97 civic hatch. first of all is there any way to pull this swap off legally even though my civic is a few years younger than my engine?

it is just one is obd1 and one is obd2.

i highly doubt it since you yourself lives in cali...any cali guys/gals here can help with what this guy wants? all i know is that your motor swap is supposed to be from the same year or newer...not older...

i might be getting a 91 HF civic hatch also witch is (im pretty sure) obd1, right?

91 is OBD0 not obd1..obd1 starts from 92-95, and obd2 starts from 96-00
