B18C1 into '92 VX: Pictures w/ scratch and sniff
I was kidding about the scratch and sniff, but anyway....
My Integra was stolen on 12/27/02, and they still haven't found it. So after 2 weeks, insurance gave me a check, and here's what I bought: a white 1992 Civic VX. Of course the D15Z1 had to go, so here's some pictures start to finish:
The day after the seller dropped the car off, of course, it had to snow...
So then, I figure since I used my jumper box and got the car going, I'd also install my JDM headlights and fake visions. Then, that I'd take it for a lap around the block, bad idea because the clutch was bad. I got down the driveway at least, right? Well, I had to leave it there all day.
So. Either change the clutch on the VX motor, or just say screw it, break out the credit card, and throw in the B18C1. I opted for choice 2.
Here's how it started:
Then no more SOHC:
Then we got the engine in:
The stock radiator neck was very brittle and cracked in a few places, so I bought another one. Fluidyne baby, and here's how it sits now, dont' look straight at the intake, it might blind you:
I also got a CF hood and a mugen "style" front lip (which I don't know who makes it if you're wondering), but I think she's looking pretty good:
The only problems that I'm having is the shift linkage support bar is like too long or something to slide onto the tranny. I dont' know what's going on with it. Anyway, I'll figure it out.

Nope, just got it from a guy off a local board here in town. $200, figure you can't go wrong.
Thanks for the compliments guys! Maybe I should get my *** out of bed and finish that thing today?

Re: B18C1 into '92 VX: Pictures w/ scratch and sniff (sherman)
hahal, sorry. I am a man in-motion. Hmmm, I wonder if the internet will ever incorperate smell into it's multimedianess? Probably not, TV never has. Anyway.....
I got the motor from a friend's Honda shop in town, they get them out of locally wrecked cars that are auctioned off.
Exhaust? What's that? I don't need no stinkin' exhaust!
Now I need to do something about those VX wheels....
Edit: For requested Lincoln pictures:
BTW, that's gas under it, it had a cracked fuel line
