Default B18C1 going into 1996 Civic Ex question!!

I was told that there are some good knowledgeable people here so help me out!

I just bought a USDM front clip from a 98 GSR and Im asking what parts I might need extra?
Which throttle cable?
Which mounts?
Will the cat and headers match up?
What else might I need?
Any extra advice?

Ok, this is the exact swap in my car. Use the GSR throttle cable. The engine mount on the drivers side that bolts to the actual block, you need from a 99-00 si, also you will need the 99-00 si rear bracket. The civic cat won't work without an extension. That is all I remember for now.

What kind of extension do you mean? what else can I do to bypass this problem?

As for the rear braket? Do I absolutely need that? The shop didnt make mention of anything like that..

Where the header ends and the cat begins, there will be a gap. I believe this can be fixed by using a 99-00 si header.

i have the same swap and gsr rear tranny bracket will NOT work, u HAVE to have 99-00 si rear bracket, mounts and brackets are diffrent, about the driver side engine mount, i was able to use my stock one without any probs.

Ok,
so I need the GSR throttle cable, the 99-00 Si rear mount bracket and 99-00 Si drivers side mount bracket?

Also, what do I do about the header-cat-exhaust combo. What cat do I need to connect to USDM stock GSR headers and stock Civic ex piping?

I wish I knew...
I read one article that said you can use the GSR rear mounting bracket but you haev to cut it and replace the holes because it is like 1/2 of an inch too long. Ive seen comparison pictures.
I went ahead and ordered the 2 brackets, a GSR throttle cable, and the throttle cable bracket. Better safe than sorry.
Looks like Im going to have to rig something up for the header-cat-exhaust for now. Money is too damn short!
