Default b18c1 EG owners

Do any of you guys with b18c1s in your cars have any regrets?

I'm going to be doing mine soon, after deciding to spend a bit more money and get what i want instead of doing the usual b16 (no offence).

Are you owners happy with the motor?

What are the advantages/disadvantages?

Any input/thoughts would be great.

are u kidding? I dont regret ****, well maybe the Air and power stearing since I drove a brand new 2001 Civic before my hatch, but the power is like night and day. there are so many B16 CRX's around here(my bro has one too) and they are all mid to high 14's cars but they all know they can't jump up to my hatch. My compression is 10.6 jdm spec GSR, with CTR cams and other stuff.

I guess I'll be the first to show some regret. Although I love driving my car (when it's running right anyway), I wish I had just saved up some cash and bought a better car.

i think its a good choice you made not to get the b16, the b16 is fun and all but the b18c is better. i doubt you'll have any regrets with going with the b18c

no regrets, had my swap for over a year, even though it isn't as fast as i would like, its still gives me a grin everytime i take it to 8 grand. My freind, who has a b16 says, there is a big difference between the amount of torque in daily driving between mine and his.

When it`s not fast enough for you, which will eventually happen, just be sure to install quality parts. Nothing worse than looking at your motor in pieces and thinking how much you wished you had made a more discriminating decision in parts choosing...

no regrets....what so ever

you'll love it once your finished with the swap, and GOOD choice for the B18C over the B16.
i have a friend with a "99 SI, and have drove his car many times, not trying to down on the b16, but like i said you'll be happy with the choice you have made, and still it ever time i get behind the wheel of my EG

anyway good luck w/ the car

I love mine. Wouldn't say I have any regrets...perhaps chucking A/C LA summer ownZ.

I don't know if it's VERY fast, but it's fast enough
