Default B18c1 dying when given gas

i got a b18c1 in an ek an the car idles fine and will rev as long as you ease into the pedal and barely gas it. As soon as you give it some gas the motor bogs out an if i give it too much gas(not even flooring it) the motor'll just stall out altogether. Under load the car dies even quicker.. ive gotten rid of all my cel's so this ***** driving me nuts..any help is appreciated

i had the 2 o2 sensor codes, an iac circuit failure code, an emissions evap code, and an iat code, all of them went away because i hooked it up except for the iac valve..which mysteriously went away with the evap code. i did replace the iac with one i found in the back of the car... but it still threw the code until recently.

Sounds timing related. Did this just recently happen after the distributor change or has this been going on for a while?

well it could be the timing but wouldnt it at least drive an rev when given gas even if it ran like ****? the wiring should be ok, are you meaning like resistance wise or just things wired up in the wrong spot? i tried moving some sensors around but it runs alot worse. as it sits it runs fine as long as you dont touch the gas, it cold idles and all and isnt throwin any dam cel's.. clogged fuel system maybe? it is puffin out a lil black smoke an it smells pretty rich

I would definently reccomend checking the timing with a light. If he had done a hack job with other things it is possible that he screwed up the timing. Check both the dizzy as well as the timing belt.
