B18C1 build help: Want low 13 to high 12 sec in 1/4 mile
So i just throw a rod bearing on my B18C1 so I need some info on what I sould do to rebuild it. Before anyone says anything about seacrhing I'm going to say I already did and didn't find anything that would help me.
So my plans are to try to get as close to low 13 to high 12 sec. 1/4 mile. Any help would be greatful. If i need to change setups I am wiilling to entertain the info you got. My plans are as follows Gsr block bored .50 over with itr or ctr pistons. Decked block and head Flat faced valves Skunk2 dual valve springs and retainers Some kind of stage 2 or 3 cams Maybe port and polished head Injectors (don't what I need) |
Re: B18C1 build help
tear it down and see if you can reuse the block, order parts and send it to machine shop

Skip screwing around with dinky NA parts and build a cheap $3k turbo setup. On my first setup at 306whp/204wtq, i ran a 13.134 with a crap 2.2 60'. With a little more practice and/or an LSD, you could easily hit 12's.

Go with your plans that you listed and find somebody to get a good tune. The tune is going to be your make or break play.

Block is already torn and everything is still good. Sorry I would do a boost setup but I would rather have a n/a build that whoops on boosted cars. Its more fun. The person that I would have tune it would be Rich-tuned.

tons of choices for internals, lots of cams, just do some research on different powerbands of different cams. find a range you like... get hondata, and a great tune. |

well good luck whoopin on boosted cars...d series maybe. i hope its not your daily...if you plan on to build a badass N/A motor, you are gonna have to run super high compression, have some nasty cams, and all of that affects daily drivability and reliability. and a N/A b18c1 is no where near the fun of a boosted b18c1;)

ProFunction Automotive B18c block refreshed and blueprinted to spec. Only major change is CTR pistons. Portflow headwork w/ blox type C cams on your choice of valvetrain(Portflow, supertech, omnipower) Edelbrock perf X manifold, good header- hytech replica minimal. 68mm throttle body, tuned length intake, injectors and ecu for the tune. |
