B18c1 120k never modded is it worth 2000
I know this kid who has a 95 B18c1 swap out of his fathers totaled car. He said it was never abused at all. The motor is a complete swap with ac included. I was wondering if it is worth it with all the high mileage. I know the mileage is not that bad but it is much higher than a jdm swap. What would you guys do? Oh yea planning to put it in my theft recovery Si.

I agree, it sounds like a good deal... I personally wouldn't pass it up. Just make sure whoever takes it out knows what they're doing and doesn't mess anything up... do your best to retain all the wiring, hoses and especially sensors... and you may be able to talk him into throwing in the seats and other random things like the brakes/knuckles included in the price bc of the mileage...
Once you throw the bad boy in get the valves adjusted, swap the plugs and think about doing the timing belt, water pump and tensioner....you may want to ask for the records to see when the last time they did that...
good luck with your purchase

Re: B18c1 120k never modded is it worth 2000 (2000 MRP SI)
Rock It!!
I got my motor from this rolled integra. It had 168K miles on it and the guy said it wasnt abused. I got it rebuilt just in case but the machine shop said it was in top shape even for that many miles. I got the whole thing, whatever i needed for the swap for $800 from this guy. Super deal huh.

yeah it was one of those things that will never happen again. I got it before all the local guys saw it on the classified adds. The rebuild cost me like $2500 but i didnt know much about parts or Ebay so i let the machine shop do the shopping That was all new gaskets and new pistons with cleanup. Now my second rebuild cost $3000 with all new parts Live and learn, or learn from others mistakes hehe...
