B18C Swap running sluggish/ and unusual idle
I recently Swapped my single cam for a poor mans type-r I had rebuilt awhile ago(new bearings, gaskets, seals)and came across this issue. The car is is able to move but very slow (no power,Slow acceleration,Pops while driving) and at idle it seems to back fire every 20 secs or so. also it seems that it wants to die as if its starving for fuel or something.
The motor is on TDC and has only CEL for o2 heater sensor, Im running s300 recently purchased through a shop that goes through xenocron i did however install po6 just to see and nadda. The only setup I have is full exhaust, intake and the head has omni flat vales on dual springs. Im running this motor in a 95 civic dx and seems to start up strong, but as mentioned seems to be very slow and will not open up even floored and vtec will not engage. Im leaning toward the following conclusion distributor because it was obd2 which was converted to odb1,throttle body/sensors. anyone have any idea of what possibly could be or be the culprit? anyiput would greatly be appreciated.
