B18C Running Rough???
I just drove my fully built B18C hacth into town which was about 60 miles. It felt very sluggish like it didn't want to warm up. I am in Alaska so its about 20 degrees out and its been sitting outside for about 3 months not ever started in cold temps.
The last time I drove it was in September when it was still half way warm for AK (40 degrees) and it was still running perfect. I had taking it to the track and had the timing advanced to 19 degrees on race gas.
I had run about 2 tanks of pump gas at the same timing degree and it seemed fine except one night when it got cold it took a little while to warm up but when it warmed up it ran fine. What could be the problem...nothing feels stuck or broke in the engine and the oil level was fine. I am running a thick oil though..Valvoline VR1 Racing 20W-50..could that have anything to do with it running rough in the cold?? I can post a list of mods to the engine if that would help any. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
