Ok well we finally got the motor in and it starts and all...BUT It's not idling right. It will idle fine for about 10 seconds when i first start the car but then it slowly acts as if it wants to cut off. Right when you would think it's going to cut off it quickly pops back up to normal....it's never cut off either. I do not have a tach in the car right now. Do you guys think it would be vacuum related?? How do I pull codes from an eg? My friend said there's a 2 wire harness that i need to jump and we cant find that SOB anywhere. I just need to get this thing on the road for work related reasons. Thanks for any help

vaccuum leak. possibly in the Map sensor.

and the plug is under the glovebox on the right hand side, its blue and has only two holes in it. its prolly inserted in a "holder"

To check codes in your eg go to the ecu...it is under the kick panel on your passenger side...there should be a harness that has 2 wires going to it..you need to jump this...do this by taking a small piece of wire or paper clip (about 2-3 inches) and stick it in the two holes on the harness...now turn on your car...look at the check engine light on the gauge cluste the output will be in a morse code style of long and short lights. For example, 2 long, pause, 3 short is 23.
now go to http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/codes.html and find out what the code is

yeah it seems like a vacuum leak..did u take the intake manifold apart b4 u put in the engine...?

No i didnt take the IM apart before i put it in. Should i have? Thanks for all the help guys. Also there are 2 plugs on the IM that the wiring harness doesnt have..i have an ob1 harness and ecu with obd2 b18c. Im guessing that i just dont need them.
