Default B18C engine+B16A Tranny

Pretty n00b question but I still have to ask to make sure. I've heard of a lot of people doing a gsr swap and then instead of the gsr tranny, they go with a b16A tranny? Why is this? I'm thinking about doing a GSR swap so I want to get things cleared up!

Thanks

the reason being it the B16 tranny has almost the exact gear set up as the itr. the gears are shorter, so of coarse it'll revv faster.

but there is nothing wrong with the gsr tranny.

They do it to get shorter gears.
