B18b1 Swap into 5th Gen civic
I'm getting ready to do my engine swap here very shortly. But i have a few questions that i want to find out for sure on the last few parts that i need to get before i actually drop the engine in. I have a 95 Civic Coupe DX, The engine i am putting in is a 95 Integra LS, i also have a 95 GSR tranny. Now the questions that i have are. 1. The tranny i have doesn't have shift linkage, Which shift linkage do i need to buy? Will LS shift linkage work on my car? and will the 90-93 shift linkage work or do i need to get the 94-01 shift linkage? 2. What model axles do i need. 3. The only part of the wiring harness i have is the part that attaches at the battery area. Is that all i need? Also, since i've got a Dx motor non-vtec will my existing wire harness for the engine work? 4. What intermediate shaft will i need? is it possible to modify my current shaft to work with the gsr tranny? Any information at all would be great. I finally just finished rebuilding the engine after spending alot of time and money and i am anxious to get it in. If you would like to email me the information my email is info@bulletmotorsports.net Thanks.

1. any linkage from a 94-up bseries car...gsr, ls, 99-00si except del sol...
2. any axles from 94-up bseries car
3. get an LS ecu from 94-96 and plug it in.
4. your swap SHOULD have the INT. Shaft...but if not use a 94-up ls one
good luck...and have fun...had the same setup in a 92 sedan....kicked ***!! gsr tranny is awesome for LS-Turbo....get my drift?

Re: B18b1 Swap into 5th Gen civic (nema741)
freemyndz got it all down ...your wire harness off the engine should be plug and play...im using everything off a 95 LS in my 92 DX which is shift linkage, im shaft, ecu, and 95 GSR axles.
BTW ...you should consider upgrading your stock fuel pump to a 94-up GSR/LS..a big difference IMO
good luck

yes wire harness will work. so will the engine wire harness on the dx motor if there is not one on your ls. just transfer onto other motor.
shift linkage---93 integra
axles---95' any b-series
intermediate shaft---95' any b-series
ps.; if the tranny plug on gsr tranny has a plastic white piece in it then remove, --this will allow your stock harness to plug in .
