Default b18b1 mpg just not what it should be

I haven't been getting very good gas mileage lately in my hatch. B18b1 with just an intake and exhaust for mods. I've always gotten pretty good mpg since I got the car so I never really paid too much attention to it. But it seems to be getting worse now.

I'm driving the car to Chicago on Tuesday. Its a long drive for me so I planned on changing the oil beforehand, it needs it anyway. I planned on doing plugs and wires at the same time. I did the dizzy cap last week but not the rotor, so I'm gunna do the rotor when I do everything else.

Will doing just these things help my MPG? I have to assume it will. I'm also getting new 4-1 header on Monday but that wont do much I don't think.

Any input helps.
Thanks

Can't really help you. You haven't provided any MPG before and after numbers to go on. Never hurts to do a FULL tuneup so change the rotor and fuel pump while you're at it. Double check the timing while you're at it. That's my shot in the dark.

Never thought about the fuel pump.. thanks.
I shoulda checked the MPG when I first got it I know.

Its been kinda hesitant lately too. Lime I'm giving it gas, it feels like it wants to go, takes about a second, then she really goes. Fuel pump might make sense on that, but I'm thinking its more the plugs and wires

Like grumble has already said, full tune-up. Also, check your alignment, tire pressure, and do an oil change. If you could give us some actual numbers, that would help as well. Fill up your tank, reset your trip meter, and drive normally until you have 1/4 tank left. Refill. Divide miles registered on your trip meter by gallons put in. That'll be your MPG for that tank.

It also helps to buy fuel from a decent station. Shell, BP, Exxon.

Lol. Well don't I feel stupid. Fuel filter makes a hell of alot more sense and that's what I was thinking the whole time. Even though I said pump. Hah.
but yeah I'm gunna try to get some actual numbers for you guys.

Thanks again
