B18B1 into an EG (wiring help needed)
with an obdII b18b1, and an obdI ecu
how do i wire it up perfectly in a 92-95 civic (eg)
do i use the integra wiring harness, or the civic one
and what modifications do i have to make?

Re: B18B1 into an EG (spl_civic)
the integra engine harness should plug right in to the civic harness, just plug it in. I swapped a obdII b18c into my eg and only ran the 2 wires for vtec...so you don't even have to do any of that.

tap wire from blue wire off the distrubutor, and run that to the blue wire on the driver side wire harness...when i did my swap the speedo and tach didnt work, and after i ran the rpm signal wire it was all good

Re: (spl_civic)
You r supposed to use the civic wire harness on the b18b and the obd1 ecu. then you shouldn't have any codes. thats what i did and it was fine.

Re: B18B1 into an EG (egturbo)
I used to have an obd1 LS in my 92 Si and i used the obd1 LS wire harness and it was plug and play. On and obd2 LS i would use an obd1 92-95 Civic wire harness and obd1 LS ecu and it should be plug and play if all sensors are same on an obd2 LS swap as the obd1 LS is.

exactly... this was the easiest swap I have done so far... It was in an out so quick.. no downtime... use the civic harness... nothing else is needed.

did you have to cut anything on the civic harness, in order to connect some of the ls sensors?...because the connectors lets say for the alternator are not the same for the civic and the ls...
