Icon2 b18b1 Evap Purge Solennoid??? Idle problems!?

I have a 94 civic ex. with a b18b1 swap. the evap purge solenoid is not hooked up because i have nothing to plug into it.... when running i feel a bit of vaccum coming from the breather tube on the sensor. also when running it idles 2-3k until its warm and the falls to normal around 900. i have retarded my timing, searched for vaccum leaks. which i have a small 1. anyone know why its doing this?? or if the evap purge sensor is necessary with my set up?

you dont need that evap dealy. unplug it, unhook it from hoses. and throw it away and cap the hose to where it goes.

I had the same issue. I have been driving for over 1 1/2 years on my LS with the purge valve not hooked up. Everything I found at the time I was doing the swap said you didn't need it. I know my OBD1 P75 does not look for it as I get no CEL. My idle use to be bouncing up and down when cold and smoothed out when hot. I cleaned the Fast Idle Thermo Valve on the bottom of the Throttle body and cured the irratic idle, but it still on a cold start up idles usually between 1800-2000RPMs and once warm drops to around 900 as well. Engine runs great. I will stick around and see if anyone else has any other insight on this.

Cool deal, I need to find something to plug the hole in the intake manifold where it goes so I can just get rid of that ugly black valve.
