Default B18b1 bucking problem

Hello, im new here to the forums. Been around Honda for awhile now doing swaps and mods for many people..

I have a 94 Civic EX with a b18b1 and a p75 obd1 cpu.

For some reason this problem is having me stumped, on cold start it will run half way decent. If i barely touch gas it will bog down some and sometimes take a few seconds to get up to the right rpms.

When driving i cannot give it more than half throttle or it bogs and bucks, also when driving many times it wont let me go past 3500-4000 without bucking it way up past the 3500 mark. Ive just cleaned throttle body and changed the plugs which were completely fouled out with carbon blackness.

This engine was boosted at one time. Just installed fuel guage to see what pressure its running at. Idle (28-29 psi) the guage is a Grade B guage so around 2-3% off i am thinking which would put it in the 30-31 range and giving gas its going up to about 37 psi.. It does have a blue Fuel pressure regulator rising kit on the fpr.. Even at idle if i pull throttle to much and WOT it will just sit around 3500 and increase very slowly..

Any inputs on what this could be would help me out alot.. Im really needing this car to drive so i can get to work without worrying. Please let me know what other info is needed.

Car has brand new dizzy. less than 40 miles on it now.. All plugs are firing.
Ive tryed my buddys p28 chipped and tuned for his b16 and it ran it alot better but would idle around 100-200 rpm.

Thank you again, Justin..

Oh and by the way there is no CEL codes pulling. i got one yesterday which was code 74, Fuel delivery system but i think it was my wire on my o2 where my a/f guage is conencted reset cpu and checked those wires and it went away..

sounds like limp mode. others ECU doesnt mean anything as its not for your engine.

Try another P75 for testing. If the same thing happens, then ots not your ECU

will limp mode allow you to go past the rev limit it sets it to though?

Yeah mines not cutting off at 3500 if i give it less then 1/2 thottle i can go to 5-5500 before it bogs down.

But yes it can still be the ecu. i had a p06 chipped with ls basemap, BUT the guy replaced abunch of stuff in it that way it wouldnt fry. and when i put it in it was running like complete crap missing and jumpign smoking and burning a 1/4 tank of gas running aroudn a 1 mile radius also with a code 9 on it.. Took ecu out tryed it in my friends honda and it did same thing on his. Took it out and ended up gettign a sniff of it and smelt burning.. opened it up and it was burned on the caps he put in.. Im gonna call them today and see if they will fix the cpu that was messed up from the start from them.. Im almost thinking they did something to get me to buy a dizzy from them also and then theyd fix cpu also when there.. There should be no way they shouldnt fix the cpu as it was virgin and in great shape before he touched it..

Still trying to find a p75 to test havent found anyone around here yet to let me test one.

So the guy who chipped my ecu is now tellign me that "I fryed the ecu.." Also saying it has to do with the IAT, saying i had to of plugged it in wrong.. which is plugged in correct and fine.. yet he is saying that killed my chipped p06 ecu with ls basemap.. The chipped ecu never ran from the day i brought it home from him. worked before i brought it to him... Ugh what to do..

Alrighty updated, and solved.. Ended up grabbing 4 injectors to swap with my current ones.. My engine had DSM 450cc injectors on it.. Got it running beautiful. But then i ripped second gear and 3rd for a test and somehow i twisted my brand new rotor in the dizzy. But its all fixed Thanks so much for all the help. Appreciated! Justin..
