B18b wiring issues. (different plugs than my old b18...didn't know what to search for)
I tried doing a search, but I wasn't sure what to search for for this issue.
I am swapping in another B18b into my '94 hatch, I already have a B18 in there, but I hydrolocked it, but that's besides the point. Everything seems to be going smoothely but I noticed on this other B18 that i just bought, some of the connectors are different than on my old B18. My question is what is the best way to get around this? Should I splice the new b18 wires and solder on the old b18 connectors so it will work with the connectors in my hatch? Or what can I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated...sorry if I missed a FAQ on this, It's been a long few days getting this engine in.
Pics below, showing the different connectors. (those are the fuel rail connectors just for example)
Here's a picture of 1 of the connectors on the fuel rail.

Re: B18b wiring issues. (SocalChris)
the pictures arent showing up for me, but i think that you have a obd missmatch going on. You may have had a 94-95 obd 1 ba8b1 and now you have a 96-00 obd2 ba8b1, or vice versa. or maybe you picked up a a1, but your probably not that stupid.

Re: B18b wiring issues. (eg cookiemonster)
Ohhhh, damn, I'm such a noob. Alright, thanks a lot guys, I appreciate it. So just to clarify... it'd be ok to cut and solder the clips then? Some of the wires are different colors, but I'm sure I can find a FAQ for the color matches from OBDI to OBDII.
