Default b18b V ZC

I searched and have seen individual info on each but what about compared head to head
Swap into a 1989 CRX HF

ZC= cheaper

but will the newer LS motor be more torquer?
I am building a track only car. (mostly autocrosses no daily driving, but on a budget of under 2.5k for everything not including car and body work so I will need suspension, brakes, engine, tranny, and troubleshooting all done for under that price

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Default Re: b18b V ZC (Audipwr1)

The b18a/b will have more torque, the b18 will cost more in the end, the b18 will have more aftermarket support.

The zc is a good all around motor, it is like a d series motor but makes its power much sooner in the powerband than a d series. You will be able to use your mounts, axles, shift linkage, wiring, etc. It will just replace your d motor.

Personally I think that there is not comparison between these motors. The zc is so cheap, but the b18a/b will be more powerful in the longrun.

b18a swap= 2500
zc swap w/out tranny 600

Not really a good comparison
