Default B18b Swap Opinions

Alright everyone, This is pissin me off, I'm looking for an engine to put into my car and the price of it all is just pissing me off, After all the engines i looked at, I'm leaning toward the B18B1, The latest model of the non-vtec, I was going to do a ls/vtec conversion and turbo it, Is it worth it? or just keep it non-vtec. And how much do you think i could get if i tried and sell my current engine, D16y7 with 27K on it???? Oh yeah check out the new sport compact mag, this chick is running a B18B turbo in a 5th gen hatch, Its a mighty good sleeper in my view since she runs 11s quater mile, with a 11pound turbo, with no internals but a block gaurd, its real nice and thats pretty much the only reason Im looking at the B18B since its cheap and good power.

Not sure if I understood your post. But I have a b18b1 motor that had je pistons, crower rods, and a nuformz block guard. I was running daily on 7psi and when I wanted to play i would hit my high boost at 14 which the car was tuned at. Well I just cracked my sleeve at 14 so I would be careful boostin at 11 in my opion.

That's why we resleeve our blocks before we boost at high psi.

Well when I bought the motor I did not realize the difference between a block guard and resleeving the motor. The place where I got my car tuned said it would be fine at 14psi. But I learned the hard way.
