b18b swap questions
i have searched around this forum and didnt find the right information i needed.
i have a 96 civic ex and im in the process of swaping in a OBD1 b18b motor but have a few things taht concern me.
i have a obd2 ecu from a b18band was wondering will that work? also, do i have to get a LS engine harness or can i use a different harness? friend told me i can use a dx harness. is that true?
i would apreciate all the help and information. been waiting for about 8 months for a freinds to help me get my car running but i dont think i can wait ne longer so i decided to do the swap myself.

Obd2 ls engines have a knock sensor, obd1 do not - you'll throw a code for that. So...get an obd1 P75 ecu and conversion harness
Just use the current civic engine harness though - you will only need to extend IAT to the intake manifold and EVAP - no need to get another harness. There will be a few extra connectors, but just bag/tie them so they dont get wet.
I hope you have the correct mounts.
edit**
Oh, if you want to add a knock sensor and use the obd2a ecu, Ive been told people re-tap the upper-inner alternator mount hole for a sensor there.
