i have a few last minute q's befor i start a swap next week

so my car is a 98 civic sedan ex w/abs (Canadian so its got a y7)
the engine is a b18b1 the trans is a GSR

will my d-series shifter work with my b-series sift linkage?
will i have to worry about my cruise control or power steering not being compatible?
im still looking for a ecu, i think some one told me i could use my d-series one is that true idk?
and pretty much what are some common problems that happen when people perform this swap?

no, yes,no the b series shift linkage are wider your power steering pump won't fit and the fitting on the line is different the the b18 pump try a pump from 99-00 si (em1) you might have to change the cable for the cruise but i'm not sure . in a pinch you could use the y7 ecu to start it but i wouldn't drive it the fuel map's would be all wrong (smaller displacement and injectors in the y7) do you know how to do the 3 wire to 2 wire iac fix ? do you have a rear t-bracket from an 99-00 civic si (sir in Canada) honda Manuel trans fluid new plug's wire's cap rotor . there is some build threads on here for almost the same swap use the search to help find them .good luck
