b18b del sol drivetrain swap
i have a 94 rs integra that i put a jdm b18b motor swap into... i also put in a jdm gsr tranny and basically re did the entire drive train because i only bought the rs body... i am getting a del sol and was going to take my entire drivetrain from the teg and put it into the del sol.... does anyone know of any obstacles i might run into doing the swap? or will it be pretty straightforward since the motor should bolt right in....axles? shift linkage? throttle?...any information would be appreciated thanks

del sol is weird if it is the vtec model u will see it has abs in the way and it is a lil bit of a tighter fit .. that is all besides that it should work fine. and both of the cars are probably near in weight anyways not sure why ur going to swap. good luck though. o yea if the del sol has abs u will need abs axels.

everything should go right in you just need the del sol vtec shift linkage. and i used the del sol cable and made a bracket for it to work

Re: b18b del sol drivetrain swap (dohc notec)
sorry i may just be having a brain fart, but if i take the whole drive train out and put a ls motor and gsr tranny in .... i cant use the shift linkage from the teg.. i need a delsol vtec linkage could you explain the difference please?.. is it shorter or something... thanks

yes the del sol linkage is different than civic and integra it's shorter and different design. u must use a DOHC vtec del sol shift linkage if u are going to drop in a B series motor.

Or if your not too bad with a grinder and a welder you can take the Teg linkage and modify it to the sol. It takes some time, but gets the job done. I would try to find a deal on a VTEC linkage first.

actually the delsol linkage is longer we had to extend a stock linkage becuz the civic linkage or the integ linkage would not reach far enough. i dont think it neccesarily has to be a del sol vtec linkage but just a delsol linkage. U can extend the teg or civic linkage by cutting it and placing a metal pipe inside the linkage and welding it to extend it both poles have to be extended though and im not sure off hand. exactly how much u need to extend them.

everything from the Teg will bolt right up including the brakes and all (larger brakes on teh Teg so you will have better braking)
the only thing that you will NEED to buy is Del Sol VTEC shift linkage and you will need to get Del Sol disc brake cables
